- Great book!
- I purchased this book for my boyfriend to use with the bread machine I gave him for Christmas. So far, he's tried 4 of the recipes, all of which turned out good. One recipe that it doesn't have, which I thought would be standard in any bread book, was a french bread recipe. This is the reason I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise it is complete and well written, with lots of extra tips & helps.

- Bread Machine Cookbook
- The recipes in this book (of the ones I've tried) have turned out wonderful. Good information about using bread machines and easy adjustments for the loaf size being cooked. No regrets buying this book.

- good recipes, but not outstanding
- i bought this book to go with my sunbeam bread maker and i have to admit i was a little disappointed after reading all of the glowing reviews. i appreciate the way they break down bread machine basics and how to make the perfect dough but a lot of the recipes i thought were lacking. there are some good basic recipes, like for whole wheat, bagels, dinner rolls, etc. and there are a lot of tips for baking and how to form different bread designs, but i've found that most of the flavor combinations in the recipes are quite strange for my tastes (example: orange oat cornmeal bread, toffee chip bread -literally white bread with toffee chips, chocolate mint bread, orange cappuccino bread, etc). in addition, many of them seem redundant; recipes are nearly identical but with one or two changes for a different kind of filling. i'd recommend searching through the contents and index to see if the kinds of bread recipes the book contains sound good to you before you make the purchase. it's useful for reference for the beginning bread machine user, but a lot of the basic bread machine recipes i use could have been found with a little searching online.

- Really an excellent book
- I received this book as a gift with my bread maker a little over a year ago. I've tried ~15 recipes and everything tastes great! I am a novice cook, but by reading the intro sections and stocking my kitchen with common supplies, I can now make great fresh bread with 5-10 min total of actual hands-on time. One note about the book - it seems it grossly underestimates the amount of water needed in the recipes (maybe my flour is more dehydrated than average?), but, by slowly adding water at the beginning of the kneading until it matches the example dough ball pictures in the book, everything turns out fine.

- Good beginner breadmaking cookbook
- I bought this with my new breadmachine, as I've never been impressed with the recipes that come with the machines. I also have had little success finding good recipes on the web, so I thought I'd try it. I've been experimenting with the recipes ever since. I like that it has a variety of white, wheat, and shaped breads. Some of the recipes are just several variations on the same theme, though, which I probably could have gotten to on my own as I like to experiment. However, overall I am very glad I purchased it and it's a great book for a beginner or for someone who wants to learn how to make and shape a variety of breads, including bagels and other shaped breads. Especially helpful for beginners are the troubleshooting, storing, other introductory pages, and the numerous pictures and hints.
