Outstanding short stories!
This is a terrific book for anyone who loves to read but doesn't have more than an hour each time you sit down. Each chapter is like an independent story - so if you can put it down, you won't forget what you have already read.
You will laugh and you will cry. This is a fabulous story of the bond between humans and dogs. Outstanding!!

A New Appreciation For Dogs
When I picked up "Marley", I expected a fun and laughable read. Little did I expect that I'd actually learn something about dogs and their owners! I've never been interested in dogs probably since I never grew up with one. I've always seen dog caretaking simply as an inconvenience. However, Mr. Grogan has shown me an entire new appreciation. I highly recommend this book to all those who love to laugh and appreciate all walks of life.

For the love of Dog!
I picked up Marley and Me in a bookstore on my way back to Singapore from visiting my family in Ohio. During the long-haul flight via Tokyo and Bangkok, I finished every page and passed the many hours in what seemed like an instant.
More than once a flight attendant asked in passing if I was OK, as I laughed and cried reading this book. All too many of the anecdotes on the pages rang so true with my own "World's Worst Dog", Toby, a silly Wire Fox Terrier.
In my opinion, a fun read for anyone who has ever loved a dog, and a cautionary tale for anyone thinking about getting a dog. A true story of uncondional love... both human and canine.

Absolutely Beautiful
I picked this book up because the cover was so cute. Cute little Marley the Lab was staring at me, almost begging me to open the pages. I read the jacket and it sounded just like my husband and I with our dog. One day our dog came into our lives and we've never looked back. That is how life is at the Grogan's with Marley.
How beautiful that John Grogan wrote such an amazing story about his beloved family dog and essentially his family. His writing is absolutely superb. His tales of his dog and his life are captivating.
Dog lovers MUST read this book. Each time you complete a chapter, you will find yourself wanting to hug and kiss your dog ... the book is THAT moving.
I highly, highly recommend this book. It will make your heart smile.

I loved this book!!
I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled to for this book. I loved ever moment of this book! It made me laugh and cry. My husband said he has never heard my laugh so hard over a book! This is a great tribute to "a mans best friend". I have sent this book to my mother in law who has 2 Labs to read. I told her I wanted it back because I will read it again!
