- Enjoyed it enough
- I put this book down a few times but I have to say Jane Green does a great job describing people's relationship woes,in all of its forms. The downside of the novel is that you can tell it is written by someone from England - there are turns of phrase that are not typically American and with the setting being purely America, it was a little odd. I enjoyed how the story came together - would like to have seen the old lady's character worked out a little more.

- Great Read
- I really enjoyed this book. It's a little different than her other's but in a good way. The characters were realistic and very likable.

- Great....up until the end!
- I won't give away any spoilers here, but I will say that this was a book I could not put down. I read it in the morning, during lunch at work, and after work and got it done in two days. It started out GREAT with good character development and lots of interesting stories. I loved Nan, who owned the Beach House. The bummer was the ending....! The book could have gone one for another 100 pages to settle issues, but instead, it appeared that Jane Green was given a 1 day deadline to finish and wrapped things up way too fast.

- Loved this book
- It is rare for me to give a book 5 stars but I really loved this book. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. I will agree with some the reviewers that at times it was hard to remember which character as which, but the story was great. It kept my interest until the very end with a few little twists. This was my first Jane Geren read and definitely not my last.
