- Dishonest smears
- This is perhaps the sleaziest dishonest smear job since a 19th century candidate was accused of murdering his mother in a fit of insanity. The number of people who take the rantings of a clown like Corsi seriously is frightening.

- Bulk buying does not make a best seller
- I have to chuckle at how Fox News and the right wing minions are salivating over this piece of trash by Jerome Corsi. They make a big deal that it is supposedly a " NY Times best seller" but forget to mention the dagger listed next to the book which indicates bulk buying, a Michael Moore tactic.
They also forget to mention that this book is poorly researched and Jerome Corsi references himself in the appendix.

- Don't buy this book if you want to play President Roulette
- It seems like a large majority of Obama supporters don't know much of anything about him. And that's not surprising since (A) It's a slim resume', and (B) He would rather you not ask.
Some zealots have gone so far as to argue that since, according to the constitution, the only requirements to be president are that you must be a "natural-born" citizen of the United States, at least 35 years of age, and a resident of the United States for at least 14 years, it is somehow disrespectful, or even racist to dig much deeper. Hopefully you, like me, are not ready to stop at "requirements", but would actually like to see some "Qualifications" as well. This book does a good job of uncovering the facts that shaped the personality of a man who is reaching for the highest office in the world... A man who hopes to be YOUR LEADER. Wouldn't you like to know everything you can about him? If so, then you will at least give this book a chance. Mr. Corsi does not try to hide his intent. He says from the beginning that his research into the life of Obama showed him to be a dangerous and radical man. So Corsi does not hide his intentions to expose him and hopefully convince you not to vote for him. He also includes hundreds of references and quotations so anyone can look up the information for themselves if they don't want to take his word for it. So there is nothing shady or sleazy about his approach. I can't ask for much more than that. The book is generally well written, although it sometimes gets a little trivial, even a bit personal with what I thought were some over the top statements about Obama's family... I got the feeling at times that Corsi was trying to be a little too thorough, if you know what I mean. And it is not laid out all that cohesively, with some chapters just reaching in too many directions. Because of these few literary shortcomings, I won't give it more than 4 stars. But overall, it's a quality book, and most importantly, it's a book that somebody had to write.
If you want to vote for Obama, good for you. It's a free country. But I would hope that people actually try to inform themselves as much as possible considering the gravity of the position. Don't let pop culture sway you! Get the book. - 2008-08-21, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Read the book first!
- I bet many or most of those reviewers who give it one star never bothered to read this book! They are simply giving a knee jerk reaction. The far left, as well as those on the far right, should look into the psychological term "projection." They might learn something about themselves!

- A shameless smear fest!
- Unfortunately I wasn't aware that Corsi also was the author of the smear of John Kerry, who brought "Swiftboated" into the language of political dirt throwing. By the third or forth page it is all too obvious that the objective of this book is to lie about Obama as much as possible and hope that the unsuspecting readers will spread those lies just as those who read his Kerry hate book did and repeating them often enough will give them legitimacy. The sad thing is that it will probably work to some degree. Corsi's fear that McCain might not win on his own repeats his fear that Bush - who actually did lose - wouldn't be president. This kind of divisiveness and lies is terrible politics and should be condemned by both parties. Sadly however if McCain's camp thinks they will gain votes by ignoring it then they will while all the time declaring that they had nothing to do with it. Along with "Fleeced" "Obama Nation" is added to books that should have never been published since they contain not a single bit of truth and at best are evil as well as overwhelmingly disingenuos and are a black mark on our political system. Anyone believing what is between these covers are hopelessly naive and blind as well as weak minded and easily manipulated. Sad, very sad.
