Excited About this Book!
I'm so excited that my copy of Miss Vickie's Big Book of Pressure Cooker Recipes arrived today! I received a pressure cooker for Christmas and though I have been using Miss Vickie's website to help a little with my first few meals, I'm happy to have a hard copy in my hand so I can read it without going online.
I bought this book because of all the recommendations on Amazon and after perusing the first few chapters, I know this book is worth every penny paid. I especially like the section on Adapting Recipes for use in the pressure cooker. My husband is fond of many recipes that take hours to cook just to get the meat tender and so I am hoping I'll be able to still make those dishes, with half the time and energy.

WOW!
Love this book!!
Finally, a pressure cooker book that has lots of choices!
Really good description of pressure cooking in general.
Turning into a "go to" cookbook for me. (and that is high praise!)
Just made the Mexican Chicken soup for dinner and got rave reviews from the whole family. Italian style Beef Roast braised in red wine on the menu for tomorrow. Looking forward to cooking my way through this book!
Don't hesitate! Worth every penny.

A Must Have for Pressure Cooker Users
My husband bought me a pressure cooker and the only recipe I could remember from using one many years ago was for stuffed cabbage rolls. I went on the internet and there were limited recipes. This book has it ALL! Tells you all about safety features, how to use the pressure cooker to the best advantage (like par cooking chicken for fried chicken), and has terrific recipes - and lots of them!!! Good recipes with ingredients we have on hand. Easy to follow recipes. I am enjoying using the pressure cooker several times a week now - all because of this book! I highly recommend it - for newbies and experienced cooks!

A real winner
Three words for anyone holding out on buying a pressure cooker: "DON'T BE SCARED"!! Pressure cooking may seem difficult and scary but it's simpler than you could ever imagine. This cookbook helps with the basics, is a great confidence builder, answers all "the questions", and is chock full of great recipes you can try or alter to your own tastes. This is a great book to get you going!

Don't bother buying
The recipes here are not at all to our taste, too common and almost tasteless. If you enjoy plain high fat food, go for it. I am purchasing the Lorna Sass pressure cooker cookbook (which I borrowed from the library) recipes and methods of cooking things far superior. Have been pressure cooking for 2 months now and gave both books a fair trial. I am giving Miss Vickies book to the thrift store.
