Total waste of money - don't buy
I waited for this book with great anticipation being a serious Beatles fan. When it arrived I found it quite incredulous. Correct me if I am wrong but is not the purpose of MUSIC to be able to read and play it?
Regardless of the technical merits you need a MAGNIFYING glass to read these musical scores. As a lead guitarist I found it impossible to read these scores without one. How the hell are you supposed to hold a magnifying glass whilst playing the guitar simultaneously?
I sent a stern email to the publishers asking exactly how they had misfired so badly and asked what they intended to do about this debacle. They replied with a "We will send your comments to the editorial team". Exactly what would that achieve.
I then send a second email which is detailed below ....
Hi
I wrote to you last weekend adversely commenting on your quite incredible Beatles Complete score.
I advised my intention to place a copy of my comments on Amazon, whilst also requesting a detailed explanation as to the quite ridiculous size of the music score.
I still await a reply and would appreciate one within the next 24 hours. Such crass stupidity should not and cannot be ignored. The book, although very expensive, is actually worthless as it has been produced.
If I do not receive a reply Amazon will be graced with the content of my comments for potential buyers to consider.
Hiding from your responsibilities achieves nothing, have the balls to come out, admit you have conned those who have bought your product and offer a solution i.e. give them their money back or produce a compendium that musicians can actually read and play from.
Regards
Peter Woodall ........
Until such time as the producers actually consider the purpose of musical scores, I strongly advise you to keep your credit card in your wallet.
This product totally fails the "Sale of Goods Act" (in the United Kingdom)because it is "NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE" for which it was sold.
I totally wasted my money and shall not be buying, or recommending, any of their products in future. I strongly suggest that you heed my warning and refuse to buy this totally inadequate score. The Beatles - Complete Scores

Read: Must Know About Beatles Scores Book
This book seems so great. Like the "ideal" Beatles Chord/Tab book around.
That's what I thought at first.
Pros: A lot of the songs are in here. That's why it's "Complete". You can play all the Beatles songs on guitar, piano, drums, if you'd like, and you can get near-as-close to the exact chords, riffs, notes, and rhythms.
Cons about this book:
The print is way very small. You'd need a magnifying glass or really good eyes for this! (I just look close into it) It's all squished onto thinner than thin paper. Very hard to look up a certain song. There are some errors, as well. Lyric errors, mostly, if you pay attention.
It's also very heavy. They should make a new edition with separate books.
Overall, if you don't mind small print, tissue-thin paper, heavier than hell, some flaws book, then this is good for you!
It's still the best Beatles Scores book around, in my opinion. It's very nearly accurate, as I said. Get it if you want to start playing those Beatles songs!

All you folks complaining about print would complain about the price of multiple volumes
It is completley insane to criticize this great collection for the size of the print. If you are a SERIOUS performing musician, get a cheap software music publishing program and produce your own lead sheets for performance.
Use this to learn and something else to perform. Or - here's a crazy idea - actually memorize what you learn so you don't all look like geeks!
I will now excuse myself from this discussion and head over to a Bible review page to criticize every existing edition for small print...

Beatle book
This is a great book! Anybody interested in playing Beatle songs should have this book. The parts are written out note for note and so far seem pretty accurate. When I pick it up it's hard to put down.

Where's the revision??
Yeah, there are errors; but with so much of it right on, me thinks it's as much a printer's error rather than the transcriber's error. And sure the font could be bigger, but then you'd have to have 2 or 3 volumes, and 2 or 3 times the cost. Overall, an outstanding attempt to capture the Fab Four's sound on paper. Now, where's the revision??
