On the way home from a conference, Don Piper's car was crushed by a semi-truck that crossed into his lane. Medical personnel said he died instantly. While his body lay lifeless inside the ruins of his car, Piper experienced the glories of heaven, awed by its beauty and music.
90 minutes after the wreck, while a minister prayed for him, Piper miraculously returned to life on earth with only the memory of inexpressible heavenly bliss. His faith in God was severely tested as he faced an uncertain and grueling recovery. Now he'd like to share his life-changing story with you.
90 Minutes in Heaven offers a glimpse into a very real dimension of God's reality. This New York Times bestseller encourages those recovering from serious injuries and those dealing with the loss of a loved one. The experience dramatically changed Piper's life, and it will change yours too.
"A friend handed me this book at about midnight, and come two or three in the morning, I was still reading, my heart pumping, bumps on my arms, the hairs on the back of my neck on end. It's a wonderful and inspiring story that brightens your perspective, giving you a sense of security, clarity and warmth." — Donald Miller, author, Blue Like Jazz
"The book describes the brief but sweet heavenly reunion Piper enjoyed with deceased relatives (as well as his grueling recovery, which has included 34 surgeries)." — Publishers Weekly

- Too long, but not long enough.
- A friend lent me her copy of "90 Minutes in Heaven" when I was on my way to a funeral. The author's retelling of his near-death-experiences and his memories of the ninety minutes he was thought to be dead were wonderful for me to read at that point in time. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at things, the author came back to life. The book is more about the author's More reviews
- Excellent read
- What a experience this gentleman went through but to see the glory of God through all this and a glimpse of heaven gives me solid faith in Jesus and his promise to us who believe in Him. I hope that this book is read by every person so they can see how much love God has for us. More reviews
- fraud
- I often wonder if people like Don Piper have any idea how God feels about lying and creating a fictional acccount of heaven just to make money. I purchased two of his books and both have been discarded. I can't believe any company would publish his books. More reviews
- A must read for believers
- This book was recommended by a friend for me to read after the unexpected death of my fiance'. She had read this book after her son died. I started reading it and could not put it down. In grief, we all have road blocks that keep us from moving forward, and this book helped my progression in healing. There was a simple line in this book More reviews
