An opinionated parenting advice book, Not an innocent child development book: I received this as a baby shower gift. If you're thinking about giving this as a gift... don't. It's pretty much a book about how to parent based on the authors' personal opinions. You may inadvertently give it to someone whose view on child rearing is completely different than the views expressed in this book. My "go-to" reference: I was so glad to have this book handy through age 3. I kept in it the bathroom and could read snippets during bath time. I also grabbed it in the middle of the night if I had to give medicine or couldn't figure out what to do. I also enjoyed the month to month milestones in their non-threatening format.
