- Not my type of disney... :(
- I am a huge disney fan and collector. I have the other cd's from baby einstein to the cd of songs from the movies and my whole family loves them. This cd was recorded in 1979! It is a old man whom I don't find very pleasant. I prefer the 'normal' childrens cd's. I bought this cd and returned it within 15 minutes.

- Just bought this CD. As soon as I put it in my 4 year old and I couldnt help but dance around the house. Great songs to really get you moving!

- A wonderful collection, but not quite perfect.
- I was so thrilled when I came across this series while searching for children's music for my first niece. My sister had lamented the fact that she couldn't remember the words to many children's songs to sing to her new daughter, so I was searching iTunes to make a "favorite songs from our childhood" compilation when I discovered that the 4 discs of this set contained nearly every beloved childhood classic that our mother had sung to us or that we had listened to on our favorite records! When I listened to the samples and found that the songs were pleasantly arranged and sung, and, best of all, had somehow miraculously escaped being "sanitized and homogenized" by the PC drones and still had their traditional lyrics, I gleefully rushed over to Amazon and ordered all 4 discs.
Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed when the discs arrived and I listened to them in their entirety. These are the songs that I remember and love, but most are "condensed" or shortened versions (my first thought was that it was rather like listening to an album of iTunes samples), and many of them seem to have had their tempo accelerated, making them sound rushed. While this is still an excellent collection of well-done traditional children's songs (or fragments of them, anyway) that I'm sure my niece will love, I'm headed back to iTunes to make my own compilation with songs that include all the verses and are played at the correct tempo. - 2006-01-31, 6 of 6 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- One of my favorites
- This was the first CD I bought for my daughter and I had never heard it before or read reviews. I was pleasently surprised when I listened to it. I bought all four volumes and think it's a great set to own. If you only want to buy one of them, buy volume 1.

- Childhood memories!!!
- I read the reviews from other parents about how they had this exact album when they were younger. Once we recived it and I popped it into the player, I realized I also had this album when I was little!!! I remember all the words to the songs and my 8 month old son loves to "dance" with me while I sing along! I even had to call my sister and play it for her over the phone!! He enjoys listening to it in the van or while he's playing on the floor. The adult singer has a nice soothing voice and the kids kinda do the whole backup singer thing. It's a great cd also because it has a lot of "classic" tunes. My husband grew up in Italy and this is a way for him to "connect" with the songs we all grew up with!!!
