Find someone else who owns it.
I bought the Drill Doctor for my work. We drill everything you can imagine... wood, plastic, aluminum, all kinds of steel including spring steel and tool steel. The Doctor isn't a cure-all. For metal drilling you need a good split-point bit. The split-point function of my sharpener seems a little off-center, so I end up with a nipple in the middle of the drill bit. For regular bits it seems fine though. A buddy who bought one says his sharpener does split points just fine. Proper care and use of your drill bits is a better investment.

Good Sharpener.
Great for the smaller bits, seems like it may be alittle hard on the machine with bits over 3/8"

Nothing else comes close
I don't know how many broken or dull bits I have sitting around because up to now it has been one big pain in neck to resharpen them. I usually wind up buying a whole pack (10) of the most popular sizes I use and set them aside after they get dull. I have several different drill sharpeners; you know the type one would use with a grinder. Problem is they have never worked well for me, it seems like it's always hit or miss and most of the time "miss seems to prevail" and setting the jig up for sharpening the bits was always a chore. So it was with some trepidation I bought the Drill Doctor" especially because it was a lot more than I had ever paid for any other sharpener. But this is truly a case of "you get what you pay for...sometimes). But after reading the reviews I bit the bullet and ordered one. Gotta tell ya...I am now one happy camper when it comes to sharpening my old dull bits. It works just like the provided video shows, not just once but each and every time! Anyone who can't sharpen a bit properly with the Drill Doctor probably shouldn't be handling a power tool in the first place. I mean it is virtually moron proof. Loosely calculating the number of useless drill bits I have accumulated over the years I figure this tool will more than pay for itself. Looking for the right tool to sharpen your drill bits?...Buy the Drill Doctor, I promise you will never look back.
Oh by the way, a little background on me. I am a retired General Contractor and an active hobbyist. I own 6 cordless drills, 3 corded drills, and 2 drill presses (what can I say I have a weakness for good tools!) so I guess it would be fair to say I have had some experience working with drills and drill bits.

Left-handed chuck terrible for righties....
right-handed one terrible for lefties. As an ambidexterous person, I cannot use this product at all. Right and left thumbs down.

American Ingenuity is still alive!!
You take this Drill bit sharpener out of the box, insert the video in your VCR, and within a few minutes you'll be calling your family to see if they have any bits that need sharpened. I sharpened about $...worth of old bits that I was ready to replace within 20 minutes. This Sharpener at $... was one of the best investments the handyman or professional can make. How many purchases have the ability to pay for themselves within minutes??? Oh, most importantly, I found this sharpener to bring the bits back to new condition if not better than new. Can't lose with this tool, of course unless you have no bits to sharpen to begin with.
