Weber needs to check their Quality Measures
I've owned a Weber 22.5" kettle grill ever since I was a young adult. I have to say that the one I just bought has some quality issues and Weber needs to address these issues before they start to lose customers.
a), the charcoal grate doesn't fit the four-point resting tongues (I had to adjust them with a pair of pliers). It seems that the tongues are either in the wrong position or the grate is too small.
b), The Grill doesn't rest evenly on the four-point resting tongues either (I had to adjust these as well).
My last Weber grill was the 10th Anniversary Edition, Simpson 22.5". That grill was perfect until the day it died. I sold it on eBay.
I've been happy with Weber products in the past but this new grill leaves me wondering if I should go Gas the next time.... I might as well die.

Need assembly/setup instructions?
I like the grill so far--just set it up. Mine didn't come with instructions, so here's the link to the online version: http://www.weber.com/manuals/pdf_files/One-Touch_Gold_30792_01_10_2001.pdf
For other Weber setup manuals, see:

Eat out(side) every night in the summer
Combined with Weber's chimney starterWeber 87886 Chimney Starter this grill is such a cinch to start/use/clean that we've hardly had our kitchen stove on all summer.
Other reviewers have disparaged the ash collector on the Gold model, but I'm very glad to have ignored them. My Weber sits high-up on our wooden deck, and the enclosed ash collector safely and tidily collects everything with no spills so far. I have to empty it perhaps once every 5 meals or so, but it detaches easily and empties cleanly with just a quick tap or two over the compost bin. I agree that the "one touch" cleaning feature isn't perfect, but it does push most of the ash through the vents into the collector after a few touches. Most importantly, it does it without having to get your hands dirty or throwing loads of ash into the air. We spent a lot of time dithering over Gold vs. Silver and are really pleased to have spent the extra money on the Gold model.
One of the cool features for those more environmentally concerned, is that by closing off all the vents (after you've finished cooking), you can easily extinguish the remaining coals and re-use them next time. unless I'm cooking a lot in one go, I'm easily able to get 2 meals from each batch of coals KINGSFORD SURE FIRE 18LB - 71725 - KINGSFORD COMPANY. The chimney starter facilitates this, as well as eliminating the need for horrid hydrocarbon-based lighter fluid. We're convinced that this has improved the flavour of our food as well (which has been superb, if we do say so ourselves).
Although this model is quite large, the position of its handles, center of gravity, and smooth large wheels make moving it around for use/storage very easy. And it's practically a design classic anyway (lots of imitations can be found), and its squat kettle shape looks good on display.
There are some downsides which, if I didn't love this so much would make me rate this with 4 stars: Home assembly was a little trickier than I expected - attaching the legs and ash collector attachment required a little patience and attaching the wheels involved a fiddly end cap which needed a small hammer and some dexterity. The lid hook is hidden and small and although I've got the hang of it now, others in my family don't find it that easy. It pretty much only allows you to hang the lid on the side of the main body rather than anywhere else on the deck. The lid handle can also get quite hot (although not always) so unless you've got asbestos fingers like I have, you may want to ensure you've got some good oven gloves/mitts. But these are very minor points considering the satisfaction we've had using the Weber Gold.

If you scrape and twirl a little, set up is a breeze
Setup was easy on this grill after I realized that I will have to scrape the tabs of the ash catcher ring down the small leg posts. At first I did not like the idea of scraping my nice new grill, which is why I temporarily stumbled on the instructions. They pop in nicely once you get past this. The 3rd leg kind of twirls on which is quite obvious once you start fiddling with it but the instructions have no words so the pictures are not as self-explaintory as I would have hoped in these 2 areas.
My only complaints on this grill are the legs and the handle. The legs were wobbly and not as secure as I would have liked them and they were installed all the way to the base of the grill (as the picture showed) some nuts and bolts would have went far in this area.
The handle gets to hot to handle with bare hands. especially when doing large meats like roasts or whole chickens. Wood would have fixed this problem. I wrapped mine with some small rope (not string) and it helped a little.
All said and done it's a great grill. Get it.
FYI-The Weber 87886 Chimney Starter is incredible and it's only 12 bucks. Get that too.
