Very Good Coffee Press
Overall, I'm very pleased with this coffee press. Even though you really wouldn't want to leave your coffee in the press since it will continue to brew, the durability is what sold me on this (plus the fact that it is a Thermos Nissan). Also, the price was better than most of the quality glass coffee presses out there. Yes, you do get some coffee grounds (they needed to make it a little bigger to really be 1 liter, hence only 4 stars), but if you're careful you won't get too many grounds in your cup. The final result is an extremely great cup of coffee. One that you have never experienced with a drip coffee maker.

Hot Coffee with Grinds in my teeth
This thing is HUGE; keeps coffee hot; and is fairly spill-proof (watch how the lid is turned!). BUT, the fine mesh filter (design?) is not strong enough to keep even the larger grinds down. So, I added the filter from a Bodum and, with 2 filters in place, now have less grinds in my coffee. Necessity is the Mother of adaptation!

Great concept, poor execution
Seemed like a great idea so I ordered one which is now on the way back to Amazon. The plunger screen allows grounds to get around the side and ultimately into your mug.

Good idea
This is my first use of a coffee press, so maybe I am not doing it correctly. So far I am unable to brew a cup of coffee without the grounds seeping into it. The screen filter arrived slightly bent in several spots which I tried to smooth out with little success. I was really looking forward to using this at my work desk, but have set it aside for now until I can get a clear brew. A good idea anyway.

Two Thumbs Up for Thermos Coffee Press
I purchased this coffee press to take on a trip to Scotland. I wanted something that would make about four cups of coffee and keep it warm for awhile, and I got just want I wanted. Coffee stays warm for about two hours, clean-up is easy, the components are very sturdy, and it even looks kinda cool. The only drawback for travel is the size and weight, but if you are willing to find room in your suitcase, at least it won't break or crush in transit!
