The VTech VT2461 is a 2.4 GHz cordless phone system that supports multiple handsets and the base may support up to four cell phone-sized handsets. The VT2461 also has a built-in digital answering machine and supports alphanumeric call waiting ID.

I purchased extra phones so I had 4 phones total running off this system.
Phones lasted quite a long time in my house. We're pretty bad at tossing phones around to each other so we go through phones every couple of years normally.
