Good, simple product
Very favorable.
Pros:
1) Light
2) More than sufficient for limited use
3) Price
Con: doesn't have a heavy-duty feel, but I expected that.

Great CORDLESS unit for trimming around the yard!
I have a regular sized house with an average amount of shrubs and whatnot that require trimming several times a year. I absolutely HATE dragging out electric cords to use my old Black & Decker electric hedge clippers. They worked just fine, but it was a total pain to drag out the extension cord and to be honest with you it totally freaked me out that one day I'd accidentally cut the power cord with the clippers.
This rechargeable unit by Black & Decker does a fantastic job. Now, I wouldn't go expecting to trim all the hedges around the White House on one charge, but I trimmed up all the hedges up and down the side of my house, plus all the bushes out front around my palms and it continued to go strong for the entire time.
I'd definitely suggest this product to any of you weekend warriors out there that just need to get the job done and want to keep it as simple as possible. I'm probably going to buy an extra battery so that I've always got one that is charged up, plus there are some other products in this line that you can use the same battery with.
Overall, I think this is a really good option to an electric or even gas powered set of hedge clippers. Make sure to wear your safety goggles and gloves!! Happy gardening :-)

Mark 24, Zombies O
One month and 20+ zombies later, this hedge trimmer is going modestly strong. The cuts were clean and quick but the battery was only good for about an hour of hacking through undead flesh.
In truth, that is the only feature I would change about this trimmer. It lacks the stamina of some of the upper-end models. But what it lacks in stamina, it makes up for in ferocity. The noise coming from the trimmer can be heard miles away. Although a negative if your only use is trimming hedges and bushes, I find it a bonus feature. Now, all I have to do is turn the trimmer on, and zombies run. As a matter of fact, they no longer frequent my end of the cul-de-sac for fear of limb loss. Kudos Black & Decker!
Pertaining to its use for yardwork, the 22 inch trimmer with the 14.4 v battery works for my small yard which does not have too much trimming to do. Like I said about the battery . . . it's a little lacking on a full charge, but I would not expect more for the money I paid for it. I think it worked for a little over an hour. And yes it is a little loud.
All in all, it's a good purchase for a yard with little trimming to do!

light duty trimmer
battery powered is useful for going places but you'll need a lot of charges if you're doing a tough bush and you won't be cutting 1/2" branches. Even cutting roses may be tough.. Also is pretty loud so use hearing protection. charger advertises 3hrs to fully charge but haven't tried it that short yet
