- No Customer Service
- It would have been nice to know about the electrical requirements before buying this machine.(Separate circuit w/time lag fuse).I contacted "FISCH"twice by e-mail, and 3 times by phone, with ZERO responses.Apparently they don't do "customer service".GOOD LUCK.I would suggest getting another brand.

- Performs as advertised
- This log splitter received good reviews in my research before I bought it. Turns out those reviews were accurate. The splitter is easy to use, even my wife feels comfortable operating it. It splits whole and half logs with relative ease. Very satisfied.

- Nice little splitter
- i bought this without spending any time checking it out. it was the only one available locally under $1100 (paid $374 out the door) and the guy told me if i wasn't happy, bring it back. i told him it would take one log to find out. i started with a 14"X 16" long green, knotty fir round i'd planned on stacking with the others in the sun for a year or two before splitting. this pup went right through it with no problem. i am amazed after being subjected to the sales media propaganda online about needing at least 6 tons, etc. i put it on a 14" high table which is perfect. on the negative side, there should be a setting so the return could be set according to wood length so you didn't have to wait for a reset for a 20" log and it should push the log further. it stops 6" short of the wedge instead of 1" or so but at this price, i'll deal with it. i cut some 4X4 blocks of various lengths to keep it from returning further than i need or to push the log through. tip- don't tell anyone you have it if you want to keep it home. j

- This splitter is perfect for what I bought it for
- I bought this splitter to split the oak and almond I have for my outdoor pizza oven. Oak and Almond are very hard wood and I was concerned it would do the job. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and set up was easy and I was splitting logs in 15 minutes. It worked great. Though I would recommend buying some hydrolic oil ahead of time as they gave me a small amount in a big bottle that may have leaked. I still have to go out and get some. I don't know this product's longjevity as I have only used it a few times but I hope it lasts.

- Easy does it
- To get right to the point, this is a great piece of equipment. It works with such ease, that Larry, Curly and Moe would be able to do it! Just press the motor button and pull the lever and the log is split. After splitting with a manual hydraulic and maul for many years, this is going to be a real fun job.
