Braun's premium AromaDeluxe takes a basic coffeemaker and adds some invaluable features. The coffeemaker brews up to 10 cups using a fast brewing method that thoroughly extracts the rich flavor and aroma from your ground coffee. The integrated Brita water filter also contributes to better-tasting coffee by screening out chlorine and other harsh minerals, plus it prevents calcification within the water tank. A marker on the top of the water tank helps you keep track of when the water filter needs to be changed. The AromaDeluxe's digital display has a clock and a brewing indicator that allows you to program the machine to brew your coffee before you get out of bed in the morning. Other handy extras on this coffeemaker include a permanent gold-tone filter; a filter release button, which swings the detachable filter basket open for filling or easy cleaning; and a Pause and Serve feature, which stops the brewing while you pour yourself a cup of coffee midway through a cycle. For safety, the glass carafe has a comfortable, nonslip handle with an open design to accommodate larger hands. - We replaced an older Braun coffeemaker that we had like very much--and had for about 10 years--with this piece of junk. It's flimsy. The basket sometimes cannot be opened to add coffee! You have to used a knife or other tool to pry it open, if you can believe that.
