The 401(k) Maximizer tool reveals ways to increase your 401(k) contribution without decreasing your take-home pay. Plus, the Retirement Tax Advisor provides tax-smart advice for long-term care insurance, employment taxes for a nurse, reverse mortgages, gifts and inheritance, contributing to a grandchild's education, two-year allowance for sale of home, and more. The Early Retirement Forecaster, Retirement Age Analyzer, Social Security Trade-Off Calculator, and the Retirement Distribution Calculator are included in Premier as well.
The software has extra resources for rental property owners, too. The Depreciation Expert helps you choose optimal ways to depreciate property and assets — from vacant rental properties to converting your personal residence to a rental, and more. A Rental Property Expense Expert reveals which expenses are deductible in areas such as travel, car, entertainment, advertising, and insurance.

- Dont even think about it. TurboTax is useless junk now.
- This is just unbeleivable. Whatever they did to the software this year has made it downright useless. I cannot get any updates over the Internet and without them the return is well, useless to me. Never again will I fiddle with anything from Intuit, Inc. Preparing my taxes is too important.

I followed the installation directions EXACTLY, which included some odd things like making sure absolutely every program on the computer is closed and deactivating the virus protection software (temporarily) for the installation period. - This will be my last year (assuming I get through it this time.) Imagine my surprise when I tried to import my data from Quicken (2000) and was told I would have to upgrade to at least Q2001 to have this work!
