- Great Game
- I don't know what everyone is complaining about! First of all everyone complains about having to have the disk to play. How hard is it to it the open/close button on your computer. If any future post can tell me 5 games that have come out in the past year that doesn't have to have a cd in the drive to play, I will take it back. Secondly, everyone complains about the terrible odds. I have only seen 1 4-of-a-kind in the 10 tournaments I have played(2 of which I won.) I have turned the original 5k into a million dollars! I got this game in the 75% off bargain bin at Office Depot which made it $5. It would have even been worth the $20. This is my first Hoyle casino game so previous versions could have been better and I not know about it, but I think the game is fantastic!!!!!!

- had problems with new windows xp computer
- I can't evaluate the quality of the games since I was not able to get this software to work on my three month old DELL Windows XP Professional machine. After loading the software, you are still required to have the CD in the computer each time you play. When trying to play, my CD ROM drive would grind away and eventually (1-2 minutes later) show a slick introduction screen and then freeze. Needless to say, I'm disappointed.

- Lousy
- I bought this to replace an earlier version of Hoyle Card Games because the CD was getting a little worn out. Ugh. The "improved" graphics are lousy and juvenile, the game play is slow, and many of the features and options in the previous edition are completely missing. This is a complete waste of money.

- Better than I thought
- I have the other versions of these Hoyle games, mainly I got new ones because they had new games. This one did not so I avoided buying it.
I got the puzzle games and hated it because of the display style everything seems to tiny and you can't make it more full screen like you could in the old versions. I was really hesitent to buy this but I did anyway.
I am enjoying it. The "Hoyle Bucks" makes the game more interesting as you try to do certain things to make the money plus collect the backrounds and such. (now you are "paying" for card back and backrounds that used to be "free") I like the talk back feature. There have always been characters I wish I could tell off and now I can ;). If that gets old I can always turn them off.So if you are new to Hoyle Card Games then get this. If you have previous versions then only get if you have the extra money or these features sound tempting to you and you dont mind having to have the cd in the drive to play.

- Loaded Dice
- The Hoyle board games appear to use loaded dice in order to manage the level of expertise. Alternatively, maybe they just have a really bad algorithm. You guys understand random number generation don't you? In any case, the games can be very frustrating because the AI opponent seems to get an ideal roll of the dice way more than logic or statistics would permit, and rolls sometimes repeat themselves over and over, especially doubles.
