- This item is great, I gave it to my girlfriend so that she could record her choir's performances in Ireland. It produced excellent sound, has good battery life, and a reliable onboard mic. I used SoundForge to transfer the audio to my PC and edited from there for a compilation CD. For the product, I say A+. - Looking at all record formats including solid-state recorders I settled on Sony's MZ-B line of recorders. Since the MZ-B100 I wanted something that could provide me with a cheap removable media solution as well as the flexibility of a digital unit.
