That's exactly the approach of the Seal-a-Meal, which vacuums oxygen out of included pre-cut plastic bags or rolls, then seals the plastic with its bag cutter. Now you can keep not only food fresh for far longer, but also treasured photographs, collectible books, birth certificates, or even certain items of clothing. The Seal-a-Meal comes with more than 50 feet of high-density bags, along with an integrated bag/roll holder and cutter. The unit uses Microban antimicrobial protection to inhibit the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, though it will not protect the user from food-borne illnesses. As an added bonus, the sealer offers an accessory port that connects to the separately sold Universal Sealer, which seals items in canisters and mason jars. - Rival does not have parts for their vacuume sealers. Customer service is non-existent with this company. Their address is a PO box, and have never recieved a reply. Avoid their products at all cost. Those selling their products, must only see a high mark-up. More reviews

- I purchase a Seal-A- Meal little over a year ago. The heating eliminate developed a hole in the eliminate cover and was burning the bags .
