didn't hold up: I bought the 8 cup about 6 months ago. The coffe was good and I'll not go back to drip. The problem was I dropped it and didn't realize the plastic cracked. So hot, you can BOIL EGGS in the coffeepot......seriously: That's how I like my coffee. Hot! And those popular coffeemakers just don't cut it. Without the gas stove one day, I put 3 eggs in the water for over an hour and half, and whoooola! The eggs boiled in the hot water. I just plugged and unplugged a few times for fresh heat.
