Corelle Livingware Classic Cafe Dinnerware Set 16-pc.
![]() | Average Customer Rating: Recommend Everyday dishes don't have to cost a fortune to look nice! This set by Corelle, part of the Corningware family of products, looks like something a savvy table would feature, complete with simple black lines on a white backdrop. It's basic enough to coordinate with other patterns as well as plain white serving pieces. The best part is, it's durable enough to use everyday, put in the microwave or dishwasher, and then easily stack in your Product details and pricing info |

- Not quality I expected for Corelle
- The mugs are stoneware, made in China, and were green rather than the blue that was supposed to come with the set. The material is not quite the same as other Corelle pieces I've had before, and the stripes are not quite flush with the plates, bowls and salad plates (seem stamped on).

- Great dishes
- Perfect for college age kids (or anyone). They are sturdy, stylish, and inexpensive. I shopped around and amazon had the best price.

- Our kitchen floor is not an oil-coated runway
- and we're not supermodels---would that be the reason why our Corningwear never survives a slip?
I've purchased 2 sets of this Corelle Livingware 'Classic Cafe Blue' to have a service for 8. In the past three years, five of the eight bowls have SHATTERED just from being accidentally dropped about four feet above a vinyl floor. Instead of just chipping or cracking, they break into small, dangerous, sharp shards. I took photos of the recent breakage (I was just drying the bowl with a towel when it fell out of my hands), planning to show the clerk at the Corelle store, but I don't even care to have them replaced. Homes with small children should avoid this type of dinnerware: the tiny, sharp pieces can be lost under a piece of furniture until the little fingers or toes find them. On the other hand, if you're not as clumsy as the folks in my home, it's an okay substitute for expensive china, so for that, I'd give it a star. Another star for the mugs: they're stoneware and none have broken yet. - 2008-09-21, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
