- No garden variety....just better. They are heavy weight and can stand up to all garden work.

- I've been wearing these kneepads to garden in for the past 4-5 years. At that time, I was going through specific "gardening" kneepads every year and they weren't protecting my knees at all. I even started wearing 2 knee pads together to get the protection I wanted. Then one day I walked into Sears to get something in the tool department and saw these. They were described as "the best kneepad for tilers working on hard surfaces". I checked them out and thought they just might work. As I said, that was 4-5 years ago and I'm just now replacing them for the first time! When you add up what other kneepads (gel or not) cost over this same period of time, you will see that you've spent more than what these costs! More importantly, however, is that you're protecting your knees. I had arthroscopic surgery on both knees last year and am still having problems with one. I wouldn't wear any other kneepad for protection unless CLC came up with an even better one. This kneepad can't be beat!!!
