Good spread
Used for thanks giving dinner. worked great!
The only problem was shipping. Two out of four received were broken. Had to return to get replacement. Cost $$$.

butter dish
I was a bit skeptical but I love it. I change the water every other day and put about a half inch of cold filtered water in it. The butter is always perfect to spread. I have bought a couple more for gifts. I would recommend it.

Handy item saves me money
Even in a butter dish the taste of refrigerated butter goes off from absorbed odors. I was throwing butter away, but now it stays sweet on the countertop. Glad I bought it.

Love this!
I bought this after seeing a similar item on the Food Channel. This was half the price of the one they demonstrated and works very well. I can't get over how well it stores the butter. We no longer use margarine in our home, and I have bought several of them for family and friends.

Don't buy this from Amazon!
One star isn't what I give the actual product, but rather the experience I had trying to get it from Amazon. The first arrived broken; they sent a second one; it arrived in even worse shape than the first. Other reviewers have complained about the same thing - obviously the shipping method being used isn't adequate. I ended up getting one elsewhere - all it took was a little bubble wrap and it arrived in perfect shape.
The item itself is great, but I'd get it elsewhere!
