- Soft Butter
- This works great! I had one previously, but dropped the lid on our granite counter and chipped the lid. So this time I bought two, just in case I'm clumsy again or if I want one on each end of the dining table. I do wish the color were a true white, not an off-white.

- I am so glad I bought this butter bell! It is wonderful to have soft, spreadable butter anytime I need it without having to remember to take it out of the refrigerator to soften. And it is so pretty that I am proud to have it on my counter or dinner table.
We had decided to start eating less margarine and replace it with real butter whenever possible. As much as people bash butter, it really is healthier than margarine. Of course, the flavor can't be beat!
The Norpro Butter Keeper is so easy to use too. I just soften a stick of butter and then scoop it into the bell on the underside of the lid. Next I add a small amount of water to the base and then put the lid back on top with the bell in the water.
The water forms a seal that keeps the butter fresh without it getting hard and difficult to spread. Water should be changed every couple of days. Nothing could be easier and it is well worth it to have butter whenever I want it.

- Works like a charm
- Ordered it got it right away and started using it with our homemade butter and it works great! You MUST change the water every couple days. We pressed the butter in tight and it held well. We use it daily! Nothin' like soft butter to make your sandwich with - no more ripping the bread.

- I have never used a butter keeper before. I hate cold butter, but I also hate microwaving it for a few seconds and having it desolving all over the place. This made so much sense. It's really cute and goes well in my blue and white kitchen. I use it in cooking and at the table with no problems. Replacing the cold water regularly seems to be the key, but I have had the same butter out for almost two weeks without any problems. I think this might be a kitchen tool that I end up taking for granted, but never want to live without.

- I love this little container. Butter keeps very well in it. Wow, I never knew this existed until a friend mentioned it. Can't believe I've lived this long without it.
