- Butter Keeper
- I can't recommend this product enough. This is the absolute best way to keep butter. The butter stays fresh pretty much indefinitely, yet also remains spreadable. And the container is classic and stylish, and also compact. I would never be without one again. And the price is great!

- I wonder if I am doing something wrong my butter keeps dropping out of the lit and into the water when i pick the lid up, i really like the size and thought of having soft butter, but if it keeps happening like that i want my money back

- Works like magic
- This butter bell is so great, I had to buy 3 of them to send to my European friends. My butter stays fresh at room temperature for weeks!Just remember to change the water every couple of days. It's amazing.

- Funny, odd, simple gadget that works!
- I have had it for a few weeks now. I refill the water (an inch or two in the bottom of the receptacle part of the keeper) virtually every time I use the butter. Why not? It's easy and it keeps it more sanitary and fresh. It takes a second and I think it may keep the butter cooler and less likely to develop mold or allow it to get "contaminated" by little pieces of bread from moving a knife back and forth from the bread to the container. So, quite simply, it works! I couldn't even get it to drop in the container (as described by one reviewer), if you put room temperature butter in the smaller top part of the container, it's going to stick if it's dry when you put it in. It's one of those silly things that works. The butter continues to taste fresh. At this rate I think I will go thru it in about 2 weeks. Change the water regularly, keep it away from direct sunlight or heat and I think it will work like a charm for you.
I get a kick out of it, it's a fun gift as well. I highly recommend it. - 2008-04-26, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- It really works! It's worth a little extra trouble...
- Our family loves this thing. Dealing with the small amount of water needed to provide the air-tight seal isn't a big deal for us, but it would be if my kids were small. The bell can get slippery, what with the butter and the water. It's fun knowing that we're using an old-fashioned idea in our modern kitchen.
