Beware Tool King - DC9096-2 batteries not as described
Tool King orders for Dewalt's DC9096-2 18V batteries WILL NOT arrive as advertised on Amazon in original clam-shell package. Tool King claims these are bought in bulk from Dewalt, and if they were refurbished they would have an "R" stamped on the side or bottom - which they do not. Are they new or refurb? I have no idea. What I do know is that they are not the Dewalt DC9096-2 item as described, but rather two (2) loose DC9096 batteries. Buyer Beware.

good batteries slow to receive
what can I say it is a DeWalt battery, it just took 2 weeks to get much too long.

Definitely longer-lasting than the black-top batteries...
These batteries last a comfortable 40-50% longer than the original black-top batteries in my dad's 18-V drill/driver. He never used the tune-up button on the charger, though, so your improvement may be less, if you use it. He managed to extract about 10% more juice from his old battery for a month or two before it gave up the ghost, just by using the tune-up button.

Beware of ToolKing
If you expect to buy these new in the package, you will be disappointed. ToolKing offers cheap prices by reselling you returned merchandise (I suspect)from their retail stores. I received my batteries used, you can tell by the brass connection points being ruffed up, and not in their original packages. One of the batteries takes forever to charge and this may be why it was returned. I also ordered a charger (not in the orig Package) where they were nice enough to place a crappy ToolKing inventory sticker over the vent holes. You know, the kind that peels off flake by flake. They dont return emails or phone calls. I was ripped off, so beware!

Short life
These batteries have a very short life. I have several that have not lasted even one year. I don't even use them most weeks. They also are bad about going dead over night or in a couple of days when just sitting in their case.
