- a tornado swept through town
- Useless, if you have both arms broken like I did when a tornado swept through town. The Flashlight just sat next to me in the dark as I could do nothing with broken arms. I tried to shake it with my toes but it takes years of practice unless you were born with lobster feet.

- Forever ends in 2 years
- This weak worthless single led light actually is powered by 2 coin batteries which are very difficult to replace. When the batteries wear out, (can no longer recharge by shaking) this thing is totally worthless. I was able to replace them with 2 coin batteries, but
I cannot recommend this repair to others, as it requires cutting out the wires holding in the circuit board, removing the screws holding in the board, cutting open the soldered on battery can, wrapping tape around the outside edge of the 2 replacement batteries, and soldering the whole mess back together. Note: the positive side of the new batteries must face toward the circuit board, which may look opposite of the original orientation of the original coin batteries. - 2007-07-15, 2 of 3 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- An important "caution"
- An interesting tidbit from the instructions:
"Cautions: Forever Flashlight III generates a strong magnetic field that surrounds it. Keep the unit at least one foot away from medial devices, computers, magnetic storage media, or other devices..."
I think its a great product and I am happy with it, but it won't be going into my computer repair kit or near my iPod.
Also: It has tons of uses, but auto emergency kit isn't one of them. You need a beam strong enough to stand up to blinding headlights, which means a traditional battery guzzler. - 2007-04-28, 3 of 4 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- HURRICANE-PROOF
-
Plastic.
It floats.
Transparent.
Shock resistant.
This is what worked after electricity,chem-lites,
batteries,candles,cranks and everything else failed.
This is the premium product, all others are a cheap knock-off.
I wish I had this in the Boy Scouts.
I wish I had this in the war.
Can be hung around the neck when used with the 13" sold-seperate companion:
Garmin 013-00052-00 Lanyard, Etrex
sold-seperate companion
Industrial Light Sticks - Pack of 10
It should be noted, this is an emergency lite,
not for everday use. - 2007-03-04, 1 of 2 people found this review helpful, Rated:
