Fits DW744 Portable 10" Table Saw
This dado DOES fit my portable DW744, although the supplied wrench does not fit the DW744's arbor nut, so I use a socket wrench.

Works fine with JET Supersaw
Purchased both the JET Supersaw 30" fence w/sliding fence and the 608 from Tool Crib and have used it to cut rabbets for several cabinets. I set up the 608 with a "sacrificial" fence (made of 3/4" ply) clamped to the JET fence. I also clamped a featherboard to the fence in order to dado all workpieces flat to the table instead of standing any on edge. The featherboard was mounted to an Incra mini T-track that was screwed into a dado cut at the top of the ply fence.

Other than reversing the end plates (the 608 is delivered set up for a right tilting arbor) setup took about 1.5 hours. The supplied wrench worked perfectly with the standard arbor nut supplied by JET. The little chart supplied with the 608 is accurate but I used a caliper to check the blade width just in case. Changing the width with the 608 mounted in the SS requires simply loosening the arbor nut, clicking the dial and then retightening.

If you don't have one already, don't forget to buy a dado insert for your saw. Instead of the JET insert I purchased the Tru-Cut zero clearance system. This is comprised of a heavy machined aluminum plate with thick phenolic inserts. The inserts and aluminum plate are adjusted with flush mounted screws. The $80 price includes the aluminium plate specific to the JET SS and 1 phenolic plate. Replacement phenolic plates are $18 for 2 each. While the up front cost is higher, the long term cost is less. There is virtually no tear-out. The Tru-Cut is available from Woodcraft.

Overall the 608 has performed flawlessly. While it is expensive, I found the dial-a-width feature truly useful and accurate. Not having to use shims is a great benefit. The cuts are extremely smooth. I used to cut grooves/dados with a 2hp router but it would usually take 2 passes. The 608 in the JET SS cuts the same grooves/dados easily in a single pass.

Doesn't fit Bosch 4000-07
Just does not fit a Bosch 4000-07 without removing the plastic panel that makes up the dust collection housing.

The wrench supplied was of very poor quality consiting of what looked like a piece of metal welded onto a hex shaped channel that was supposed to resemble a 22mm or 23mm socket. Also the case seemd to be very flimsy for the money. I've since returned the dial-a-dado and replaced it with the super dado and it also comes with a similar case.

On a postive note, Changing the arbor from right to left to fit the Bosch 4000-07 was straight forward and had it worked on my saw I would have kept it and just replaced the wrench with a real socket. Great concept but seems to be limited in application.

A Great Dado Desghned for Work.
I have been testing this dado for some time ow and I find it to be very well build. Its ultra finish when used in your best projects make it on of the finest dado ever made. I have use this Dado in a Ryobi BT 3100, Ridgid 3650 and a Delta table saw. The wrench that comes with the set only fits Dela products.

Be sure that you use this tool to its super potential. It's price will be a draw back for many home shops but it is still a deluxe tool built for a craftsman in mind.

Freud SD608 8" dial-a-width dado
This dado does fit a Delta Uniasaw (I understand there are some problems fitting some saws). I've tested the dado and it performs as advertised, very nice. The reason I didn't give it a five star review is the manual and assembly from the factory wasn't quite right. The manual needs to be brought up to date. To convert the dado to left tilt it is necessary to switch parts on the outside blades. The instructions talk about 2 silver screws (there are 3 and on one blade they are black. As shipped the ball bearing and spring had fallen out of place in the adjustment hub. The two shoulder screws (which could have accidently been removed when converting to left tilt saws because of the poor manual) that hold the adjustment dial together wouldn't tighten all the way. I had to remove filings that stopped the screws from seating properly. The filings were never removed after the threads were tapped in the mating piece.
If you have some time to figure out the manual, cleanup and reassemble the unit, it works very well.
