top notch
the thickness of the spade is great, the durablity of this hammer steal is great. it also helps that the tip is tappered to place the force where its needed. not only does it break up clay it also cuts law grass roots like nothing. of couse the demo hammer it self is going to change how effecent this tool is going to be. but this tool is top notch.

Perfect tool for outdoor projects.
Do not be surprised by the low price - it is the same spade that you would buy for twice or trice the amount from your local supplier. It works perfectly with my Makita HM1304B and enables me to quickly complete small excavation and trenching projects, especially on steep slopes inaccessible to machinery.

Clay Power-cutter
This was the last of four bits I wanted for my Hitachi H65. I expected to pay around $50 for it so was very pleased when it turned out to be less than half that. The clay spade attachment is beautifully made, with a large spade area sharpened to a nice ground leading edge. It weighs 12 lbs. so altogether with the H65 the tool weighs 52 lbs. The overall weight benefits the clay cutting action and I found it worked great for loosening the tight clay subsoils here in Michigan. Unless you have a bulldozer or Bobcat, this tool will permit the easy separation and subsequent hand shoveling of tightly compacted clays.
