- Wow great sound for the price!
- Just got these hooked up today and I am impressed. I hooked them up using option 2 in the instruction manual after reading info from the polk page and some advice from a few others.I also got the Onkyo TX-SR304 receiver from amazon and they seem to work well together. I used 16ga monster speaker cable and everything sounds great. Got this hooked up to my xbox 360 using the fiber optic cable and games are a whole new experience!

- Great speaker package for the money!
- Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System, Black Finish I have been using this speaker system for about a year with a Sony STR-DG810. I am very pleased with the performance of this package especially at the price point. My friends and family have all been impressed remarking that the system sounds like a movie theater. Bass from sub-woofer is deep and powerful and the center speaker reproduces dialoge beautifully. What is also nice, Polk sells seperate surround speakers so I can make a 6.1 system since my Sony receiver has that capability. Don't worry if you are thinking about RM6750, I have enjoyed mine from the start!

- Amazing Product, Fantastic Price
- The speaker set was bought as a replacement for my center, surround L&R, and surround back L&R to fulfill 7.1 surround sound requirement. These satellite speakers offer pristine clean sounds and can handle extreme power input. The center speaker requires very low gauge wire (16 or less) and a good receiver to push it hard or it can get lost in the sound(this assumes you're using large speakers somewhere in the line) as they don't have an incredible presence like centers should. This is my case using large L&R speakers from 20 years ago that sound great and are incredibly overwhelming. Once settings were cranked on center and the 4 surrounds they held there own against my L&R monsters without having to sacrifice my L&Rs power, which is impressive for these cube's size. And for the price tag these speakers were a steal and well worth their weight in gold.
Highly Recommended. - 2007-12-02, 0 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Great for the price, but don't expect jaw-dropping sound.
- These speakers are a great buy if you simply want an affordable 5.1 setup. They work fine and do fill my room with sound decently. For such small satellites, the quality is pretty decent.
That said, they're no replacement for larger, more powerful speakers. They lack strength at some lower frequencies, and I've frequently noticed that deep male voices aren't particularly clear or powerful through the speakers. It's particularly noticeable with the center channel, since that's where most dialog will be placed.
Unlike some reviewers, I actually do feel that the sub is an adequate match for the speakers. A bigger, better sub WILL be bigger and better, but the included subwoofer isn't worthless and certainly does add to one's experience.
On my setup, I replaced the center channel with a Polk Monitor series speaker, and found that the upgrade improved my sound greatly. The other sats and sub provide decent positional audio, while the upgraded center provides fidelity for dialog. I'd recommend a similar upgrade for anybody considering these speakers. - 2007-10-22, 27 of 27 people found this review helpful, Rated:
