- Perfect!
- I had a stripped 10mm bolt on the crankshaft pulley of my Volvo that I needed to remove to get the pulley off. The bolt was fine (unstripped) initially but was sitting a little too tight on the pulley. Trying out a hand wrench and then finally an impact wrench caused the bolt head to completely round off. Before deciding on taking the car to the mechanic, I thought I would give these bolt extractors a try. I thought they would never work but honestly the trust in the name Irwin made me give it a shot. I have used Irwin products before with complete satisfaction. So I got these extractors and put them to test. I used an impact wrench to drive the extractor and the recalcitrant founded-off bolt came right off in matter of few seconds. It was a relief to see the bolt come out as I tried many other methods all of which have failed. This bolt extractor did the job. The extractor must have bitten into the bolt too hard; now to separate the bolt from it is a different story.

- Still Waiting
- I'm sure Irwin tools are great products. I own many Irwin tools including the starter Bolt Grip set. However the problem I am encountering is the Expansion set is apparently not available. I ordered this set back in Aug. I'm still waiting. So before you try to order this set, make sure you don't need it any time soon.

- BEST tool for removing any stripped bolt!
- Try and try with other tools that never work...and then use one of these!! Great value for the price. Buy the original five piece set and then add this expansion set for more versatility.....one stuck bolt will never stop your work again!!
