Major upgrade for me: I'm really happy with the ADVC110. I had been using the PYRO A/V Link, which worked pretty well for several months but then it stopped being functional (dropping frames, the analog/digital switch stopped working so I couldn't get it to stick to analaog) ... anyway, this one was so easy to install. Canopus Converter ADVC110: Another Fabulous Grass Valley product! Works just as concisely and easily as advertised. I use the windows platform and it is great. I know it would work equally well with MAC. My laptop has a four pin firewire so I am using their adapter. Their tech support is great.
