Neutral - adds no taste, basic quality OK: The value of the hose is that it is neutral. I.e., it will not flavor your water with a hose-like or rubber taste. In that regard, 5 stars.

It's a hose. Water goes in one end and out the other.: Used it to hook up the dog bowl. Don't know if the water tastes good coming out of it, but the dog doesn't complain. Of course, she drinks from the toilet and eats garbage, so she's really not my high water mark for quality.
