It works Great!
Excellent, you need to put a weight to hold it down, but once you have that it does what it's suppose to do.

Birdbath Heater
The heater is all it is advertised to be. I'm so glad I bought it (and so are our many birds!) No more pouring warm water in the morning. It fits our large birdbath just fine. Does not work (too big) in our railing birdbath.

Econo Bird Bath 44 Watts
We've experienced a lot of ice, snow and freezing rain this Winter. The little birdbath has done a very nice job of keeping at least a good portion of water available for the birds. I placed a couple of 4" stones near it's edges to keep it below the waters' surface and to warm a bit more surface area.

44 Wat Bird Bath Heater
It works. At 44 watts I did not expect the heater to perform in sub-freezing temperatures and it does not. For most of the winter temperatures in Denver so far this year Econo Bird Bath 44 Watts has performed quite well. I would prefer if it was a different color like a flat green or brown as it has a high reflection and may scare some birds off. I fixed this by covering it with small pebbles..

Good affordable product
I just couldnt see spending the cost heated birdbaths were going for, and some of the birdbath heaters. I picked this up and it works great. Simple construction, priced reasonably, and keeps the birdbath unfrozen, which is all it needs to do. Nothing fancy but it doesnt need to be. I did find that the cord was pretty short, and it would have been great had it been just a few inches longer as it made it difficult to sit properly when plugged in but not a huge concern.
