- Excellent Content, Excellent Magazine
- I read a lot of just about everything (except math books) and O, The Oprah Magazine has consistently great content that is simply inspiring. There's always something new, something interesting and helpful, as well as engaging. I buy very few magazines. This is one of the few.
I also highly suggest the hardcover book "Live Your Best Life: A Treasury of Wisdom, Wit, Advice, Interviews and Inspiration from O, The Oprah Magazine" (ISBN: 0848731050) because there is timeless and fantastic content in this book taken from the best of the best content from this magazine.
On top of that, Oprah is donating 100% of Harpo's profits from the sale of the book to Oprah Angel Network - A charitable foundation dedicated to helping educate and advance women and children around the world.
So besides excellent reads, it will help create excellent lives!

- good articles and book reviews
- O features good articles for those looking for quick, interesting reading.
Sure there are lots of featured products that are quite expensive, but reading this magazine is a nice diversion at the end of a long day or week. It's visually appealing and often features interesting quotes.
The book reviews are generally right on, so I trust the recommendations. - 2005-12-17, 0 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Most frequently stolen from the waiting room
- I started reading "O" after buying a subscription for my older sister. I have a subscription for my office and read each issue before placing it in the waiting room of my psychotherapy office. By the end of the month it is gone! Now, I have been known to pick up a magazine from a waiting room when I want to finish an article, but this one is the only one from our office that is always gone. I can understand why, too. It is an expensive magazine to buy at the store, very substantial, thick pages, lots of articles and variety, thick cardstock pull outs, a beautiful foldout scene to just look at every month. It is a great magazine experience. To be honest, I don't mind that someone loves it so much they just have to take it home. I always read it before putting it out there, so I don't miss out! I just hope they leave it there long enough for the other visitors to enjoy before they take it home. Only criticism, a little heavy on the advertizing and product endorsements.

- I love Oprah magazine.
- Inspiring reading. Certainly whenever we are feeling down, it is motivating to know that others in much worse circumstances did great things with their lives.
How many women have Oprah's business acumen and are intelligent enough to stay out for so long? And, No super-model on the planet, or even the most succesful actress or singer, can look as good as Oprah on the cover. - 2005-10-22, 3 of 7 people found this review helpful, Rated:
