- I looked everywhere for a nice, conservative-looking bookshelf stereo for my office. In addition to appearance, I wanted to be able to play both cassettes and CDs as well as radio. Of course, I wanted good sound. I was willing to pay up to $200. This unit delivered everything for considerably less. Everything else I found that was close either looked like the front end of an Edsel or would only play CDs. This unit looks great, sounds great, plays even my old cassettes, and the price was a very pleasant surprise.
