Why use the pre packaged coffee pod?: I picked up a Juan Valdez coffee pod at an estate sale for a dollar. I had never seen a "pod" coffee maker before, so naturally I did not know that you were supposed to use the little prepackaged coffee, and just toss away. Inconsistent Coffee: Have the Juan Valdez pot for over a year now and coffee is inconsistent. Sometimes watery, sometimes ok. Not much flavor. Pot can be noisy. While I like the pod system, which gives everyone an opportunity to have their favorites, the coffee doesn't fill up a small cup! And it can be slow!
