- Died within 3 weeks!!
- This is quite possibly the worst purchase I have ever made. It really wasn't a very good coffeemaker to begin with and it completely died after 3 weeks. just woke up one morning and went to make coffee, Nothing...NOTHING!! no electrical activity what so ever.

- Coffee pods do not come with the brewer. Huge lie. Amazon needs to clarify this immediately. Waste of time and money.

- Disappointing Follow Up Service!
- I found out the hard way that one of the dirty little secrets re: Amazon is that if the item is delivered via an affiliate (in this case Target) that there is very little that they can do. I realized shortly after the order that the incorrect shipping address was used. While I am not certain that this was my error Amazon couldn't help and referred me directly to UPS who then told me that as Target was the actual shipper that any changes had to come directly from them. Somewhat of a "catch 22." Finally, I found someone at a local office of UPS that took pity on me and they pulled the package and manually changed the shipping info (at my expense). Secondly, the item was brought to my parents as a gift +-75-miles away and when opened on Christmas Day the promised pods were not included. When I called Amazon to request the pods, there response was that there was nothing they could do and my only recourse was to return the item! I broke down and went on line to find a seller of coffee pods. All told this product ended up costing twice what I could have purchased for by walking into my local Target. A warning to all when purchasing from Amazon where they are not the direct shipper!

- Why use the pre packaged coffee pod?
- I picked up a Juan Valdez coffee pod at an estate sale for a dollar. I had never seen a "pod" coffee maker before, so naturally I did not know that you were supposed to use the little prepackaged coffee, and just toss away. I used it just like I used the expresso machine. Just fill the little cup with fresh ground coffee. It makes an Awesome cup of coffee too! Now that I know you are supposed to use special little inserts filled with the ground coffee, I am wondering if I will damage the maker using it this way. I prefer 1 brand of beans, and they don't offer pods....though I don't think I would use them anyway, after reading reviews say the coffee isn't as good as from the drip maker, because mine makes it 10 times better tasting than the drip maker.

- Inconsistent Coffee
- Have the Juan Valdez pot for over a year now and coffee is inconsistent. Sometimes watery, sometimes ok. Not much flavor. Pot can be noisy. While I like the pod system, which gives everyone an opportunity to have their favorites, the coffee doesn't fill up a small cup! And it can be slow!
I also think having fresh coffee might taste better. Who knows how long the pods have been sitting on the shelf. JV does not date their boxes.
