- I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!!
- This tape has been a lifesaver on more than one occassion. My boys LOVE Einsteins. Not to mention how much they learn from them. They move and jump and dance and sing...This is the next best thing to Sesame Street.
My son even has a rocket that he does EVERYTHING with - we are lucky if we can wash it.
It also helps children imagine and learn...(oops now I sound like a playhouse disney commercial) :-) - 2007-03-15, 1 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- A big adventure whetts the appitite of our little einstein
- Our 2-year old daughter loved Baby Einstein and this dvd was plugged on those. We loved the fact it featured famous works of art and classical music in a contemporary way. Martha loves it and often fishes it out of the dvd crate for us to put on for her. The interactive part of the disc is a great hit with her.
A hit with little ones and grown up ones in our house at least. - 2007-02-08, 3 of 3 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- It gets their attention but you might need earplugs
- I originally bought this for my youngest child, but it seems to be a hit with all the kids. I have to say I am sick of repetition of the few notes played over and over from Beethoven's 9th, but the kids like it and they'll probably never forget it. I give it 4 stars because of the annoyance factor.

- Educational to a point. Disney misses that point.
- First off... my two girls (ages 2 and 4) do like this DVD, I do like some small things about it such as the quality of the animation. That being said, children and are easily entertained. It is the purpose of a parent to choose the "quality and quantity" of that entertainment in such a way as to expose our young ones to beneficial content. I find the concept fantastic. Exposing children to classical music and historical/ famous works of art is a wonderful idea. As is typical (modern, made for TV) Disney... they take a great idea, and turn it to crap. They forget they are making videos to entertain (and perhaps educate) children, lose their focus and you wind up with something like their "Little Einstein's". It's a shame that Disney managed to purchase this once great little company... I liked their DVD series "pre-Disney". The Baby Einstein DVD series is simple, and simply fantastic.
It would be nice if Disney would not ruin classics. Such as Beethoven's classic by having the lyrics "buggy wuggy" sang to the tune of his composition. It kind of defeats the purpose of having articulate, educated children by encouraging infantile phrases. It makes me cringe every time I hear it.
The voice of the character Annie is like nails on a chalkboard to me. She is to be the one that "sings"; yet, she sings horribly (through her nose). She speaks sweetly but her singing is completely awful.
Then there is the "political statement" thrown in when the butterfly representatives of the United Nations are arguing so much they are unable to hear the little butterfly's song. Oh get over yourselves Disney. Do you think it's appropriate to make the United Nations look bad to this young generation who hasn't even a clue what politics is? How about first introducing them to concepts (The United Nations as an assembly of representatives from countries all over the world who are attempting to resolve differences regardless of diversity perhaps?) Or were you trying to get a message in to parents? Pick an audience already.
All in all (excepting Pixar and some Disney Classics) I avoid any supposedly educational Disney DVD like the plague now (such as their made for TV items). This was the last one I purchased and it will be the last one I purchase for a VERY long time. If you are looking for a truly educational DVD for your children...check out the Leap Frog DVD series. My children have learned far more, they cost less, and they actually watch and love them more.
Though long-winded and not entirely positive, I hope you found this review helpful. - 2007-01-11, 22 of 39 people found this review helpful, Rated:
