Whether you commute to work or school on the freeway, drive for a living, or just like to go on an occasional recreational trip, the Whistler XTR-520 Radar/Laser Detector is an invaluable addition to your motor vehicle. Designed with remote control capability, the XTR-520 gives you 360-degree protection from a full range of detection signals, including X, K, Ka, and safety band radar, as well as laser and VG-2 detector detection. In addition, the XTR-520 is specially equipped to detect the rapid bursts of POP mode radar, which last less that 1/15 of a second and are undetectable by non-POP-equipped detectors.
Lightweight and compact, the XTR-520 can fit right by your windshield, giving you easy visual access to the blue-background LCD text display. But for your added convenience, the XTR-520 also comes with a Real Voice Alert that can be turned off to avoid disturbing your sleeping passengers. And to limit false alerts, the XTR-520 gives you a choice of three different detection modes, letting you avoid the annoyance of repeated automatic door opener and burglar alarm warnings when you're driving in the city, but letting you know if signal strength becomes strong.
So with the Whistler XTR-520 Radar/Laser Detector in your car or truck, you'll be prepared for just about anything when you're behind the wheel.

- I ordered two of these detectors, one for a friend and one for myself. one failed instantly and Amazon replaced it asap, both my detector and my friends have worked perfectly since. they are small, discreet and more importantly work very well with a minimum of false alerts.
