Create Universal Wonder
From Single Cell to Galactic God, evolve your creature in your own personal universe. Maxis, makers of The Sims, present the next big bang - SPORE. Create your unique creature and guide it on an epic journey through a universe of your own creations.
Play any way you choose in the five evolutionary phases of SPORE: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization, and Space. Each unique phase presents different challenges and goals. You may choose to start in Cell and nurture one species from its humble aquatic origins to its evolution as a sentient species. Or decide to start building tribes or civilizations on multiple planets. How you play and what you do with your universe is entirely up to you.
SPORE gives you a variety of powerful yet easy-to-use creation tools so you can create every aspect of your universe: creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even starships. While SPORE is a single-player game, your creations and other players’ creations are automatically shared between your galaxy and theirs, providing a limitless number of worlds to explore and play. You can also visit the SPORE website and look at all the cool things your friends and people all around the world are making—then pull them into and make them a part of your own world!

The bits of info are as scarce as that when Half-Life 2 was announced years ago. But what we do know is that this game is aiming big, and More reviews
- Good Review Brandon, but...

I've been playing computer games for quite some time now and I consider myself an avid gamer. Some of my all-time favorites include Age of Empries 2: The Conquerors, Quake 3, Worms (and all subseqent sequels), More reviews
