- so far, so good!
- I'm happy that I read the reviews before buying this sprayer. Realizing that you do have to keep the wheels moving most of the time helped tremendously.
I really like it so far, used it two hours today. No problems! Sure don't miss wagging around that one gallon sprayer and having to stop and pump; not to mention making several trips to re-fill it.
A word of advice; when the tank starts to get low, if you'll push the sprayer, rather than pull it, it puts more pressure on the wheels, to keep the pressure built up better. (ecspecially in gravel)
I really liked the fact that when you re-fill the tank, there is no pressure in the holding tank itself. Therefore, I didn't have a hard time getting the top off, and no yucky spewing as with the hand pump sprayers.
You do a lot of walking, but I need the exercise anyway, so I'm not complaining.
If you have a wide area to spray, walk up and back spraying a small path works best, since you lose pressure by stopping and spraying for long periods. Having said that, this sprayer is absolutely perfect for fence lines!
As far as the hose goes, the hose is a little long for me, but I'm 5'1", fairly short, so I'm sure someone taller wouldn't have that problem. I'm going to use a plastic wire tie on it next time I use it to see if that is better.
If you are petite or are not use to pulling weight, you might want to put just a couple gallons in, until you get use to it.
Thanks to everyone who wrote reviews!!! It really helped reading them, and was mostly the reason I bought this specific sprayer. I'm glad, so far, that I did! - 2008-08-05, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- pump sprayer
- Convenient, easy to use, enjoy being able to roll rather than carry, and much more convenient to not have to manually pump while working for an extended period of time.

- Needs more pressure
- This seemed to be a well built machine but it had a lack of lasting pressure. wheeling it all the way across the yard, we couldnt even finish spraying one bush. We ended up sending it back.

- Great sprayer for big properties
- If you need to walk a great deal to spray all the plants on your property then you might find this product helpful in a sense that you don't have to carry the container with your hand or on your back. But you need to walk a lot to make sure that there is enough pressure in the sprayer otherwise you will run out of it before long. The wand that comes wiht the Gilmour Sprayer W4 is nothing to impress!! I will have to buy another wand with extension in other to reach areas that I was able to before with my hand sprayer. It's a bummer to make another expense and pay again for shipping... Overall I am satisfied besides what is mentioned above.

- LOT EASIER THAN A HAND PUMP SPRAYER
- The 1st sprayer I received was busted in shipping.I'd suggest that the product inside the original container be wrapped in bubble wrap or given protection before being placed in the Amazon.com shipping box. I was not happy about this. I requested a replacement, filled it liquid plant food and it worked nicely. The only problem was that it was leaking from the bottom. Tightening the drain seems to have corrected this. The price was cheaper than others I'd checked and the free shipping was great!
