Shop Around: I'm totally in favor of saving energy and the environment using compact fluorescent bulbs, but I can't recommend this particular one. It supposedly delivers the lumens of a150 watt bulb, which is a lot for a compact florescent, but unfortunately, I found this 40 watt model only slightly brighter than the 23 watt models (100 equivalent) from GE and Sylvania. Great bulb, just check where you want to use it: I've been using this bulb for months now and it works like a charm. It's bright, white and silent. The only thing to keep an eye out for, as others have mentioned, is it's size. It hasn't been a problem in my case; just make sure that where you want to use it has plenty of room for the bulb. Good lightbulb. Poor packaging.: Two out of ten of these lightbulbs that I ordered were broken in the packaging. Amazon just threw them in a box and put a bunch of those air bags on top. I had to repackage the broken bulbs and send them back. Pathetic. Oh, by the way, The lightbulbs that weren't broken work very nicely. However, I won't buy lightbulbs from Amazon… More reviews
