Low Cost Generator
This is a great item... less then 1/2 the price of comparable one. Price was a major factor, but when i read during research that this engine was of Honda design, just not marked as such, there was no looking farther.
as others have said shipping was a little rough on the box, I had no damage. added oil & gas (all the info is in the books) it started after 4th pull. I ran it about 5 hours, then changed the oil.
It runs very quite more mechanical noise then exhaust...
if you need a generator you can't go wrong with this

Nice Deal
I plan on using this unit at the race track, to run a fan, a small air compressor and other tools as needed. Note, it does not show up with any oil, so you need to get a quart of 10W-30W. I had this running in no time. I ran it for about an hour to just test it out with my equipment and break in the new motor. I wish they would spend a little more on packing. My unit got a bang on the front, enough to break the lower support weld on the face plate and the plastic housing behind the electrical outlets. The FedEx guy suggested the company should pack these units on a pallet and after seeing the box it came in, I would agree. The damage was easy enough to fix and all works fine. For the money, you just can't beat it. (and I opted for the free shipping)

Easy to use, even for novices
We purchased this unit based upon its price and good reviews, and received it in good time. A day after it arrived Homier called us to see if everything was OK! We hadn't had a chance to check out the unit so told them to call back in a few days, which they did. They had changed shippers in hopes of the units arriving with less damage. The rollbar "cage" on our unit was slightly bent on both bars at the top, but the unit wasn't damaged. We were confused because we got a generator manual and an engine manual, and the engine pictured didn't look like the engine in the unit. Between reading both of these and printing out hints from other reviewers, we got the unit to start up fairly easily. It took more than a pint of oil though which is different from what others reported. We tipped the unit up to pour the oil in with a funnel as suggested. We also bought some Sta-bil to add to the gasoline. This is a great tip for units kept only for emergencies. The first try starting the unit had it running for 15 seconds and then cutting off. I re-read the manual and it mentioned that it would shut itself off if the oil was low. We had only added a pint at the suggestion of other reviewers. We tipped the unit again and added more oil, and voila! it started up. Being super-novices, we weren't sure whether to turn the choke all the way back the other way, or leave it half way, so we had some sputtering and then figured out the choke needed to be turned the other way (I forget whether the choke is open or closed during startup!! After the engine starts the choke is turned to the opposite!) We stripped the cheap, plastic oil dipstick/knob after only screwing/unscrewing it twice, so we called Homier the day after. We also asked about the mismatched engine brochure. They sent out a replacement oil knob and the correct engine manual. I feel better knowing we have this unit on hand for emergencies, but can't say much about its longevity having only run it for testing for probably 15 minutes total.

Good Deal
I got this generator today and it run's great. I couldn't believe it started on the first pull and is a smooth quiet motor. As with all china made generators be sure and tighten all the fastners and loctite if possible.( I own a china ATV and motorcycle.) I'm a locksmith and it runs all my key machines and power tools. I also will be using it for my ac in my camper. It's not to shabby at all. (4/24/08) Ran 6000 btu AC in camper for 10 hours on one tank of fuel .....Love This Generator. As of 5/9/08 using it everyday and is still the same as new ....amazing.

blue max
We got this in winter of 07. My husband wanted a generator that was easy to move but powerful enough to run electric blankets,tv, frig. in power outage. We live on acrege and cannot get power to alot of it for building purposes. He is going to use it to run his power tools so he can build. We have not used it yet,but it was bought for price since hopefully we will not need it alot.Says he can easily pick up and put in back of truck.
