- Exactly what I needed!
- This item was not available in my local hardware, home improvement, or mega-store. It was wonderful to find it through Amazon.com. I purchased five (5) so I would have replacements if needed. Delivery was prompt and the items were as advertised.

- Right on the money
- I had been digging, locally, trying to find someplace I could buy one of these. My trimmer is perfectly serviceable, other than the fact that this cap was wearing out. Plenty of places wanted to sell me another trimmer, instead of simply selling me the part I needed.
A couple weeks ago, I was using the trimmer and the original cap simply broke into about three pieces. It was no longer usable. I got serious in my search online for a replacement part. I was surprised to see that Amazon carried it.
It arrived promptly and I put it to work. I fit perfectly, as I expected it should. The trimmer is, now, almost as good as new (need to get some new "string" for it; when it gets too old, it starts to stick together on the spool).

- Works great but cheaper at Home Depot
- When this item broke on my trimmer, I immediately tried to find a replacement part at all of the DIY home improvement stores' web sites. Unfortunately, nothing was listed.
I received this item a few days ago. It was black instead of orange (who cares as long as it works...and it does). It was very easy to install, I simply twisted on the provided spring and inserted the new cap back onto the trimmer and off I went. Good as new and saved me from buying a new trimmer.
Over the weekend I ventured into Home Depot to pick up some lumber and stumbled upon the exact replacement part for $2.99 versus $5.80. Consider calling HD and save yourself a trip or more expensive online purchase. - Just what the whacker needed
- A recent accident broke the cap for my Black and Decker GH600 type 1.
I had spent the better part of an hour scouring Dewalt website trying to find a comparable cap as the specific part, 599062-00, was listed as out stock. So I turned to searching by the product code and description with several sites also having them on backorder.
I was pleased to find the cap and spring here and given the weeds were 3/4 whacked, the remainder were a sore thumb in my front yard.
