- Surge protector with an extended cord
- Our electric power goes off at least once a month, so protection in the sewing room is important. This was only one of a few that had a cord longer than two feet. Next time the electricity goes off will be the true test.

- We bought this product because it states that it has ethernet protection. It does not have this feature.

- Great Value
- Brought two of these for protection against thunderstorm damage. I liked the warranty that came with it. Great value...so far no thunderstorms to test warranty. I mostly use it to protect tv's.

- Ethernet protection not true!
- It's hard to give this surge protector a higher rating when I feel tricked by the implication that you can plug your ethernet cable into the surge protector. Yes, it has a place for phone lines and cable connectors, but why put "ethernet" protection on the label if there isn't anywhere to plug in your ethernet cable?

- Does the Job
- With a surge protector, one never knows how well it works until it is tested. The decision which to get is based on factors of cost, value of equipment, and features of the protector. My decision for this Belkin Surge Protector (BE108230-12) was based on these factors. It probably is not the best unit on the market, but I would say it is in the upper class. The unit was small in physical size and large in features. It was easy to set up. Hopefully, it will never be tested, but if it is, the features appear to be sufficient to protect my equipment.
