It is quite, but invest in a battery company to operate it: I bought this product, because for the price it seems to be a very cost effective battery operated fan. I discovered after opening it that it requires 8 D size batteries to operate. Good news is it does come with a ac adapter. So I don't have to invest in a battery company in order to use it - just an extension cord. It is very quite and does put out a good amount of air. But the switch… More reviews

Works: I have two of them one of them just stop working, I asked for replacement and I get the new one and new fan works just fine.
it gives you enough cooling, better then I expected, it might be not enough for desert camping. I am in CA and it is ok. It might stop suddenly so do not trust this machine. More reviews
