- The last three stories are the real gems of this pack of shorts. The "Agreement" has a hilarious twist, but is so wonderfully horrifying that it's an excruciating fun read. "Cleansing" is another demonstration of Konrath at his twisting best, surprisingly set in the times of John the Baptist.
