Good Video Card
I have an older Mac G5 and had to replace the existing video card. The 9600 works well - Easy to install, less noise (my last card had a fan), and this card also has 2 DVI outputs which is a bonus.

Awesome Video Card!
This is a pretty awesome card. While AGP is sort of a dying card type, this card certainly was a boost from my original video card on my 4+ year old Power Mac G5. So for people like me looking to get a video card that could handle Final Cut Studio 2 better (especially the Color application) this is the card you want. It's a little pricey for only 256mb but worth it. I also recommend you actually load the drivers, as it was a little buggy when I attempted to just plug and play. Otherwise, again, great card!

Great Upgrade
I use my G5 every day for my graphic design business. As awesome as they may be, I am trying to put off the leap to an Intel-based Mac Pro for a while longer. I have decided to spend a few hundred bucks in upgrading the G5's graphics card, RAM and hard drive.
This is an easy install, both card and software (check the company's web site for the latest, as the CD that shipped had an earlier version) gave me no problems. I think it is an inexpensive way to get another year or two out of a solid machine.

truth in advertising, I think not
Does this seller tell us that it is NEW? Yes. Was it NEW when I received it? NO. The plastic envelope which the item was shipped in and which contains the graphics card had obviously been sliced open. I checked for fingerprints on the installation CD's and could clearly see where there had been an attempt to wipe them clean. Does this seller claim that this product works with G-4's? Yes. It positively does not work or is compatible with my G-4. I am so chaffed by being drawn into this seller's false claim that it is "NEW". The box had worn corner's and other identifying marks which prove that is was not "NEW". It did not come with the usual cellophane wrapping over the box. Clue one. BEWARE OF THIS SELLER'S HONESTY IN ADVERTISING!!!
